If a customer buys an item from my store, how does UPS calculate shipping costs for the item to the location of the customer?

In other words, how can I add and register a UPS internet shipping account to my site?

Please read my answer to you in another of your threads. You haven't even, from what I can tell, chosen how to build the site - so until that is done - and you know what shopping cart you are using - no one can tell you how to add what you're asking.

You are putting the cart before the horse!
