This tutorial will guide you on how to create an add-on domain in cPanel. For the purpose of this guide, we'll presume that you're currently in cPanel hosting and therefore are viewing the primary display.
Let us begin by using the Add-on Domain feature to add another domain name to this account in cPanel. Scroll down to select the Addon Domains link under the Domains section of the main screen of the cPanel hosting. Once you have selected the Addon Domains link, a new display will appear of the Addon Domains page. At this point we do not have any add-on domains listed.
With this guide we will create a new add-on domain. Under the Create an Addon Domain section, type the new domain name, then type the directory name in your account where this new domain name will link to, after type a Password of your choice and Re-enter the password. Once
you have completed inputting all the information, select Add Domain.
A new display will appear verifying the new add-on domain has been created and its website files should be uploaded to the directory. If you wish to add additional Add-on Domains you may by simply following the above steps again.
A new FTP account has also been created for this add-on domain. Let's take a look by selecting the Go Back link, then select the Home icon on the top left of the screen to return to the main page of cPanel hosting. Scroll down the page to locate and select FTP Accounts link under the Files category. Once you have selected the FTP Accounts link, a new display will appear of the FTP Accounts page. By scrolling down you will see that the new FTP account which was created automatically will be available now under Account Management.
Let's go back to the Addon Domains screen, by selecting Home on the top left hand side of the page to return to the main page of cPanel hosting and selecting the Addon Domain link under the Domains category. You may remove this add-on domain from the account by selecting the Remove button under Actions and selecting Yes. You will then receive notice that the add-on domain name has been successfully removed and the FTP account that was setup for it.
Select the Home icon on the top left of the screen to return to the main page of cPanel hosting. This is the end of the tutorial. You now know how to create an add-on domain in cPanel.
