    Installing and Uninstalling FrontPage Extensions in cPanel

    This tutorial will guide you on how to install and uninstall FrontPage extensions in cPanel. For the purpose of this guide, we'll presume that you're currently in cPanel hosting and therefore are viewing the primary display.

    Let us begin to learn how to install FrontPage extensions in our account. Scroll down the cPanel hosting screen and select the FrontPage Extensions icon under the Advanced category of your cPanel hosting screen. Once you have selected FrontPage Extensions a new display will appear the FrontPage Extensions page.

    Please note that FrontPage extensions should only be installed if you are using Microsoft's FrontPage to build your website. If you are not using FrontPage then do not install the FrontPage extensions.

    We shall install the extensions in this account. You can see that FrontPage extensions are not currently installed on this account by viewing the Status column next to the Domain column. Select the Install Extensions button under the Functions column.

    The following page Attempting to install FrontPage extensions... advises the status of the FrontPage extensions that are being installed. At the bottom of the page, shows the status of this FrontPage extensions; FrontPage extensions are currently: installed. This will be confirmation that the FrontPage extensions have been installed and you can now publish your website to this hosting account using FrontPage.

    Let's go back to the FrontPage Extensions page, by selecting Go Back underneath the confirmation notice. As you will see the newly installed FrontPage extensions have been installed for the main domain, but not for the subdomain.

    Please note that extensions would have to be installed separately for any subdomains or Add-on domains by following the above instructions.

    Now let's learn how to uninstall the FrontPage extensions, select the Uninstall Extensions button under the Functions column. By doing so you will see Attempting to remove FrontPage extensions screen and at the bottom of the page; FrontPage extensions are currently: not installed. The extensions have now been removed from this account.

    If FrontPage is going to be the program you use to create your website(s). You can return to the FrontPage Extensions page to install or uninstall FrontPage extensions at any time.

    Select the Home icon on the top left of the screen to return to the main page of the cPanel hosting screen. This is the end of the tutorial. You now know how to install and uninstall FrontPage extensions in cPanel.
