Why index?

I found a site that checks the saturation of your web site, based on subject etc. For my site after I put in the URL it showed 2. Yahoo search and another (I can't remember the other) had my site listed as "Index" then the description of my site. Why? This could be why my hits are low? Can this be fixed? I maybe named things wrong when building site?

you need to name your pages, change from index to your company name

this is not the same as saving the page which you still call index

to name your page look in page properties
