    Republishing Index page

    My domain is Diamond-i.com
I am trying to republish my index page with new additions.
I went to the FTP manager and delete the existing index.html file
I successfully published the new index page with no errors.
When I access my site via a browser I get directed to another/unknown Diamond-i Design page where is asking me to built the site.
Please advise as my site is currently down and have several inquiries.

What is the correct way to republish an index page. I was under the impression that the new file will overwrite the old one without any need to delete or rename. Your urgent response is appreciated

    Re: Republishing Index page

The page you are seing seems to be a Soholaunch page. I suppose that you had installed Soho in your main directory at sometime

If the new site is BlueVoda made and the index page doesn't publish, please go in your Control panel http://www.diamond-i.com/cpanel and expand the left side stats, and look down the left part info to see your server IP address.
At that point make sure that you are using this IP address to publish.

Many server IPs have changed lately....

      Re: Republishing Index page

      Thanks;
I always had the same IP 74.209.212.9
I republish the index page making sure this IP is correct with no results.
I can get to my other pages like book.html and contact.html etc but not the the home page.
The site was built in Blue Voda and was working fine, until I republished the index page with some minor changes.
If I have this Sohanlaunch, How would I know and would I get it off?
Please help as I am currently down and out.

        Re: Republishing Index page

Looking at the FTP Manager I see:
        a file name index.php
A file name index.html dated today 7/25/2011 (which I just publish it)
However I still have the other Sohalaunch page loading as my home.
        What is going on??????

          Re: Republishing Index page

          Correct page is http://www.diamond-i.com/Index.html

You have used uppercase I instead of lowercase.

Go in your computer (page should NOT be open in BV) and browse in Documents -> BlueVoda

Find the file "Index" and rename it to "index"

Open with BV and publish it.

          To uninstall Soholaunch:
Go in your CPanel, Fantastico, and uninstall Soholaunch from there.
