    Logo as a H1 heading?

    Hi General,
Could you perhaps tell me if you foresee any problems if I use my logo as an H1 heading?
    Regards,

There is no issue with doing this if you want.

Re: Logo as a H1 heading?

H-META Tags are specifically used for Textual Content of a webpage only, as there are other META Tags that can be used for other elements of a webpage. The H-1 Tag needs be the most important "Headline" of the page (see where the "H" comes from in "H-META"?) and directly relevant to the following Textual Content. Additional H-Tags (H2, H3, etc.) are added as needed, usually for paragraph or section headings, as when combined they create "context" and the essential core of webpage Relevance.
      * The H1 Tag needs be the first Textual Content value on your webpage directly above the entirety of Textual Content, and the remaining H-Tags need be ordered directly underneath, "closing" with the required H6 Tag.

Images may have ALT TEXT configured, and it will contribute to optimization, but only if the Alt Text uses words or phrases mirrored in the page's Textual Content, Page Title, Keywords,, and so on as this becomes compliant with overall page Relevancy. It is important that Image Alt Text be "page-specific" within the parameters of the page's Relevancy (meaning if an image is used on multiple pages, it needs be given a "page-specific" Title and a "page-specific" Alt Text). An Image is an object, and does not weigh as Textual Content with regard to optimization values, and as an object, is why Alt Text is available to "describe" beyond the visual characteristics. This goes to why browsers for the visually impaired "read" the webpage, converting Text and descriptions to voice (the reason Alt Text was created): first the Textual Content, followed by Alt Text applied to the uppermost objects and then descending on the page. There is no way to create an H-META Tag for an "object" ... as there is no "order" of META of 'objects' on a webpage as there is for Text (H1, H2, etc.). Position is the only obvious "order" of an 'object' and importance (SEO value) only obvious if Title and Alt Text is properly configured: any additional Tags created to falsely elevate an object (image) will be counted as improper SEO methodology (Black Hat), and will result in negative valuations (and risk of penalty) for that webpage and Domain.

Optimization Methodology has not changed since inception, and these standards are still at the center of SEO valuation of every browser and Search Engine in use today.
