uploading a second website

A few years back I had two websites that was hosted by Voda Host. I can not remember how to start saving pages for the new site. I used the ftp upload for the new site index page, I just changed the public file name from my presnt site to that of the new one. jcvtx.com. Do I need to get a redirect to Voda host before I can upload files. I would prefer to have everything uploaded and ready to go before I redirect. cpanel maybe? I am getting a code 550 no public file to upload to.

Hi,

The site does not need to be pointed to our servers in order to upload, in order to upload you should change the folder field to:

folder: public_html/jcvtx.com

If this still does not work, can you let us know the main domain on the site or open a support ticket so we may look into this further.

Shortly after I wrote the original post I found the jcvtx.com folder when I opened the public folder it just had not propagated into the side bar yet. I changed the name server to the same as my other site. The site has been shifted to voda host but I am now getting server no found. I do have all of my ducks in a row now, I think. Files for jcv have been uploaded to public_html/jcvtx.com. I can see them in c-panel. Did I miss something.?

Hi,

You forgot to add the domain name in your control panel as an addon domain, we have done this for you, please allow a few hours and you should see the new site!

Thank you. And in point of fact I did that but when I tried to bring it up it gave me a weird page so I deleted it. But the question of doing an add on domain was my next question. Been some years since I had done any of this and I forgot how.
