I have deleted all files in file manager. I checked the box in tools you specified. One thing I don't get is that the images themselves are .jpeg files mostly in the 50kb range, but when I publish they have a new name (ie index01014) and they show that they are files of sizes in the 200-400kb range. Additionally, they are stored in FTP as .png or .gif files.
I am using a photograph of the sky with wisps of clouds as background to my website. It has a 40 pixel/inch resolution laid on a 950x600 screen size. I wonder if the photo image will be stable when I get my site published as the background would always go to tiled mode when I get to preview. I will be glad for some suggestions.
I was reminded my picture background is in JPEG form. Is there a much reliable form say for example PNG, GIF that is more suitable to use as screen background? Thanks.
hi... no .. any image applied as a background will tile. The tiling will depend on the viewers screen resolution .. it is best to use a solid color or a seamless tile to get the desired effect you are looking for .. then apply your image as an image onto the blue voda page, directly on the background color .. use the insert image tool .. your image will cover most of the page and the sides will fill in with the neutral background colour you choose ..
Be careful of page load times with an image of this size - you may want to optimize your image at dynamicdrive .. use their free online image optimizer .
